So much has changed since I last updated my “About” page. It started off explaining how I created this blog because I was single and had so many great dating stories, then evolved to chatting about how my boyfriend had gone overseas for a 10 month deployment.
Here is my story today.
Guys, I am so bad at updating all of these pages, but I AM ENGAGED now!!!! I will take more time to write something new another day, but I thought it was important to make sure I keep up with all the new news. π
I am in a relationship with my boyfriend, Robert. He and I have been dating for just over 2 years now, and I honestly didn’t ever know love could be this great. I still love writing about my past experiences because I think that I have learned so much in my 26 years on this earth and it would be selfish to keep my life lessons to myself. I love telling y’all about my present dating life because a few years ago I never in a million years thought that love like this existed. No, we aren’t perfect and don’t agree on every single thing in life, but Robert and I fit together so seamlessly that I am convinced God had Robert in mind when He made me three-and-a-half years later.
This doesn’t mean life isn’t hard, though. I struggle with chronic pain and two chronic illnesses called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I write about my experiences with these because I think invisible illnesses areΒ misunderstood, and I want to raise awareness about young people being sick, too. Other things you’ll find on my little corner of the Internet is lots of dating advice, thoughts on deployments and surviving life with the military, and big pieces of my heart splashed onto your web browser.
Thank you for spending a part of your day with me, and I hope you enjoy your time here. β€
Hi Krista! Love your blog … keep up the good work! I want to send you some information regarding a client of ours, Flutterate. It is a Google Chrome extension available for download that allows you to rate dating profiles on all popular dating sites for accuracy. It was designed to improve the online dating community – making it safer and more efficient. Is there a good way to contact you so I can send you the press release? Would love for you to try it!
Many thanks!

Haha oh gosh I probably need to update this page, I’m glad you commented! I am dating someone in the Army right now. So not single, but also not a wife! π

Ok that clears some stuff up lol. It’s HARD dating someone in the military. I read your deployment article and could just resonate with it sooooooo much. I’m sorry if I called you out! π₯

I found your site doing some hopeless google searches, been living in the parents basement the past year after quitting an industry that I didn’t like. Had some poor luck finding women around my area (big time suburbs).
I got a new job that is going to allow me to up my standard of living and I’m getting a snazzy new 1 bedroom apartment.
You give me hope that not all the quality girls move to big cities.

I’m so glad you found my little blog! First, congratulations getting out of a job you didn’t enjoy. I hope you like your new one a lot better; I think it’s great when people can love what they do.
Second, I absolutely know there are amazing girls in the suburbs, cities — whenever! I have wonderful friends all over who definitely struggle to find the right kind of guys to date. I do think it can be really hard at times to find a good fit, as we’re all so unique and looking for different things in life, but there’s a really great girl out there just waiting to meet a guy like you, so don’t give up hope. I had to go on SO many bad dates to find someone who fit what I was looking for, but in hindsight that was a really small price to pay for a great guy.
Aaaand lastly, I love that you used the word “snazzy,” haha, I don’t know if I’ve ever really heard anyone else use it before! π
Anyway, congrats on all the big life changes, and good luck in the dating world! I know it can be tough sometimes, but try to enjoy it while you can. And let me know when you do find that special someone; I love hearing all of y’alls stories! (I obviously tend to ramble a ton, so I appreciate a little rambling back at me). Take care!

I appreciate the response, I had forgotten that I bookmarked your blog. I don’t subscribe to the whole there’s a girl out there waiting for every guy thing. I don’t think guys can afford to bet on things just happening, it’s the guys job to make things happen. I mean look at your new guy he drove over to see you every weekend 3 hours! That’s what I’m talking about, make your own luck.
The new job is great I think it’s going to work out pretty great. The apartment has some quirks but it’s pretty nice and I like being back in my own place. I’ve been chatting up ladies around when I can and trying to get some decent tinder dates going. It’s tough getting girls attention in their mid 20’s but I attract 18-20yo’s and women 31+ like flies. I’m thinking I may end up with an older gal, my experience is they are more invested and know how to communicate. We’ll see what happens, best of luck with your new guy.
